I had a short walk up to to Broadhead with Basil in the persistent rain but it was worth it to see the new species of fungi that have appeared since my previous visit.
Slimy Waxcap (Hygrocybe irrigata) – above and below. It was so slimy that I had a job picking it up!
Smoky Spindles (Clavaria fumosa) – above and below. Quite a few more clusters have appeared since the last visit.
Variable Webcap (Cortinarius anomalus).
Scarlet Waxcap (Hygrocybe coccinea). Absolutely beautiful!
Meadow Waxcap (Hygrocybe pratensis).
Snowy Waxcap (Hygrocybe virginea).
Jellybaby (Leotia lubrica).
Earthy Powdercap (Cystoderma amianthinum), apologies for the horrendous photograph.
Yellowleg Bonnet (Mycena epipterygia).
Oak Pin (Cudoniella acicularis).
