This is my first walk for a couple of weeks because Oliver has been poorly over some of the holidays so I have been unable to get out and about as usual. Basil got so excited as we approached the Crags, he knew he was finally going to be able to have a good walk at last.
Silverleaf Fungus (Chondrostereum purpureum)
Purplepore Bracket (Trichaptum abietinum).
Conifercone Cap (Baeospora myosura) on a submerged pinecone which I dug out of the ground.
Peeling Oysterling (Crepidotus mollis).
Sulphur Tuft (Hypholoma fasciculare).
Wrinkled Crust (Phlebia radiata).
Oak Pin (Cudoniella acicularis).
Jelly Ear (Auricularia auricula-judae).
Physarum leucophaeum – a myxomycete on an Ilex leaf above and microscopy shot below.
Great set of fungi and a slime-mould there Alison. Glad you've been able to get out again, and I bet Basil is even gladder! Sorry to hear Oliver has been so poorly.
Thanks Steve, we are both glad that Oliver is better too. I've actually enjoyed taking a break over the Christmas period but Basil is extremely happy to be out and about again as usual.
