Michael Sykes and I had a stroll through Shelf Park this morning and we found some very pretty specimens of Mycena acicula in various stages of maturity.
Common Eyelash (Scutellinia scutellata).
An immature Jelly Ear (Auricularia auricula – judae).
Glistening Inkcap (Coprinus micaceus), Michael’s photo.
Michael’s photo of Orange Bonnet (Mycena acicula).
These photographs of the Mycena acicula above and below, were taken later at home.
The tallest stem measured 40 mm.
The smallest stems were 12 mm.
An aged Dryad’s Saddle (Polyporus squamosus).
Michael also found some tiny (2-3 mm) beautiful, bright Myxomycetes that I took home and photographed later.
